Hand washes that kill germs vs removing germs

Deb Azure is not an antibacterial hand wash, which means unlike some it is not designed to kill germs. What it does instead is bind to germs, as well as dirt, and allow 99% of germs to be washed away.

For some environments where anti-bacterial soap is crucial this is not suitable, but the advantages in other settings are that this soap doesn’t contain the anti-bacterial ingredients that can damage sensitive skin and cause dry skin and irritation in many.

Additionally this hand wash can be used alongside hand sanitiser, so that there is a solution in place for regular handwashing, and hand sanitising only when needed, often meaning less damage to hands in an average working day.

EU Ecolabel hand wash cartridges
