At 90cmX60cm (36 inches by 24 inches) it is easy to position in any bedroom, day room or elsewhere so that you know fast when someone in your care is moving and may be at risk.

An alert set off at a nurse call station or similar allows quick reactions to save a fall, or if someone does fall from a bed or chair you can get to them fast too.

This fall sensor mat has been designed to ensure it is not a hazard itself, it is made of durable non slip rubber that will stay put on almost all surfaces. It also has welded seems to make sure the mat lasts a long time even with constant use: meaning no need to remove it when not in use, it can simply be deactivated and will cope perfectly well with being walked on.

TreadNought’s design to avoid accidental activation

As the sensor mat requires 2 kgs of pressure to activate it, a carefully chosen weight to avoid false alarms but also detect pressure even as individuals start to get out of bed, a suitable mat or cover can be used to ensure the room remains looking homely.

Lastly the pad can be used with a range of systems including most existing systems using the 1/4” inch mono jack plug. A version of the TreadNought Sensor Pad with a stereo jack plug is also available for Nurse Call setups requiring this jack type.
